Beginner’s Guide to Banana Bread

Ingredients: – 3 ripe bananas – 1 cup sugar – 1 cup all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 2 large eggs, beaten – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until they are mostly smooth

Step 3

Add the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the bowl with the mashed bananas and stir until everything is well combined.

Step 4

In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Step 5

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined and there are no lumps in the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake the banana bread in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
