Yoga locust position, Locust pose, and Shalabhasan are all the same. You’ve probably heard much about locust pose, also known as Shalabhasan in yoga.
In Sanskrit, Shalabh means “Locust.” When a yogi lowers his or her head and raises his or her tail, the final position of this asana resembles a locust.

Shalabh is a Sanskrit word for locust. When this asana lowers its head and raises its tail, it looks like a locust. As a result, Shalabhasan was born. It tones the abdominal area.

Shalabhasana or Locust Pose Steps

To begin, lie down on your stomach on your yoga mat to perform this pose.
Bring both palms under your thighs so that they stick to the thighs and are closer to each other.
Both palms should be pointing towards the thighs.
Stretch the heels and ties of both feet together and place your chin on the ground.
