Kundalini Awakening Methods – The Psychology of Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini awakening methods began 5000 years ago in India. The sages of India used to awaken the Kundalini by sitting in the Sadhna (Meditation), which caused special energy to arise in them.

And on the basis of this process, these sages used to do penance for years, resulting in them not feeling hungry or thirsty.

There are many different philosophies about Kundalini in today’s modern era. There is also a distinction in the process of Kundalini’s awakening.

According to experts, when a person’s Kundalini is awakened, his life span increases and his body becomes disease-free.

Kundalini Yoga refers to the process of awakening Kundalini. Some people believe Kundalini is physical, while others believe it is spiritual.

According to Indian Upanishads and Puranas, in order to awaken the Kundalini, the seven chakras within the person must first be awakened.

  1. Muladhara Chakra (Root Chakra),
  2.  Swadisthana Chakra (Sacral Chakra)
  3.  Manipura Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra)
  4. Anahata Chakra (Heart Chakra)
  5. Vishuddhi Chakra (Thorat Chakra)
  6. Agya Chakra (Third Eye Chakra)
  7.  Sahasra Chakra (Crown Chakra) .

According to Indian mythology, each chakra is associated with one or more Gods, but the name Shiva is most closely associated with it.

Lord Shiva is regarded as the creator of yoga meditation. Lord Shiva is said to have been absorbed in meditation and samadhi through yoga and meditation.

How Kundalini Chakra Works

Kundalini Yoga is the most dangerous type of yoga because it is also the most powerful.

Kundalini is the kundalini life force that exists in the universe.

In reality, Kundalini’s awakening is the most fundamental factor in the spiritual process. Even if it is the nursery school, from which the education begins, and without which the journey cannot begin.

Our spine is home to three Nadis: Ida, Pingla, and Sushma, with Sushma at the center.

The Ida and Pingala are Yayu Tattvas that are wind-based, whereas the Sushmna is a liquid form that is mostly made up of Semen.

In the event of paralysis, modern-day doctors insert a needle into the spine to draw DSF (Cerebro Spinal Fluid) for investigation and treatment planning.

A knot forms at the base of the neck, where the skull connects to the spine.

The liquid can only travel between the coccyx and the base of the neck.

The Kundalini is trapped between the muscles in the Coccyx region, which is located beneath the sacrum.

It spirals three times with its mouth facing downwards and resembles a serpent.

Where our skull ends, there is a lump. This lump, as well as the lower end of the backbone, are still filled with liquid.

Under the lower part of the backbone, there are two layers of meat. The bottom layer of meat is wrapped 3.5 times. The mouth of this meat’s half circle is facing the bottom.

Kundalini Awakening Methods

Kundalini awakening is the process of raising this lower inclined part.

For starters, Kundalini has accidentally awakened due to a person’s knowledge or external factors.

Yoga practice, particularly Hatha Yoga, is the second method of awakening Kundalini.

However, extreme caution is required when practicing yoga to awaken Kundalini; otherwise, any disorder in the body can occur.

The third method is through gurus who use the Shakti Path with Brahma Urja (Cosmic Energy) through their eyes or touch to initiate Kundalini awakening in people.

Dhyan (Meditation) is the fourth method for awakening Kundalini; there is a slow and progressive rise of Kundalini that is equivalent to a hair’s breadth, and the gap thus created is gradually filled within 24 hours.

If the Kundalini is awakened once through meditation, it never returns to sleep.

Energy Circulation

The awakened Kundalini descends below the Sushumna Nadi. Kundalini, when connected to Sushumna, pushes its liquid into Sushumna, which is also in liquid form.

There is an upward movement, pushing it towards the knot at the base of the neck.

As a result, the combined power of Susumana and Kundalini) unravels the knot and ascends the skull. And descends towards the forehead, opening the Burr Hole or Brikut that lies between the bows.

The pressure of the liquid filling the forehead opens the burr hole in the back of the nose.

This liquid falling from the burr hole now flows from the bottom of the left cheek to the front of the neck, where it begins to fall inside the navel.

The navel is pre-filled with water, and when this liquid drips into it from above, it detects a unique sound from the seeker.

This voice gives the listener a sense of inner happiness.

This liquid flows back into the Kundalini from the navel, and the entire process is known as the Kundalini Chakra.

As a result, a continuous cycle of liquid is created in the body, which continues indefinitely, resulting in the creation of special energy in the body.

Kundalini Awakening Process

Moolbandha and Bhastrika Pranayama have been made the primary foundation for awakening Kundalini energy in this process.

Moolbandha entails contracting the anus muscles.

Bhastrika – This technique combines rapid, forceful exhalations with abdominal muscle pulsations.

These techniques are said to force prana into the Muladhara chakra while fanning the flames in order to generate enough heat to force the Kundalini upwards.

The Shakti Kundalini, which is resplendent and like a thread in the lotus, is biting with the upper end of its hood at the root of the lotus, the Mulakanda.

It is in contact with the Brahmarandhra hole by taking hold of its tail with its mouth (Sushumna Nadi). If a person sitting in padmasana and having accustomed himself to the contraction of his anus makes his Vayu (Air) go upward with the mind intent on Kumbhaka, Agni comes to Svadhishthana Chakra flaming as a result of Vayu blowing (Air)

The Chief (Kundalini) pierces the Brahma granthi and then the Vishnugranthi by blowing Vayu (Air) and Agni (Fire).

Then it pierces Rudragranthi, followed by the six lotuses (Plexuses), and Shakti is happy in Sahasrara Kamala with Siva. This is the highest Avastha (State), and it alone is the source of final beatitude.

Kundalini Energy Benefits

Other dimensions of life will open up if Kundalini’s energy is activated.

In the body, Kundalini generates cosmic energy.

Because Kundalini Yoga is based on Chakras that have been purposefully superimposed, the power of suggestion is critical to its effectiveness.

When Kundalini Shakti is awakened and begins its ascension, some practitioners, such as Gopi Krishna, report amazing experiences such as mystical visions, celestial sounds, and ecstasy.

We stimulate gland secretion so that we can work better, and we also stimulate the nervous system to become stronger.

The awakening of Kundalini’s power transforms a person from normal to supernatural.

Kundalini Yoga Impacts and Experience

Kundalini Yoga is awareness yoga. It is a powerful and dynamic technology for experiencing your own soul. The most important aspect of Kundalini is your personal experience. The experience you’ve had with kriya in a sequence and meditation in your Sadhna.

What do you feel in your heart, what kind of energy is moving through you, and how are you transforming?

This is in contrast to, say, striving for an advanced pose or being overly concerned with what a posture looks like on the outside, because Kundalini is so much more concerned with what happens on the inside.

Some Experiences Shared By Practitioners

“after doing  Kundalini awakenings I  feel like vibrations stuck in the root chakra on that lower back and gasp for air sometimes shakes and chills and feeling something moving in joints. please tell me what to do to relieve these symptoms”

I am 19 and I have recently awakened my kundalini without knowing anything about what it was as such,I just was practicing basic breathwork for relieving anxiety and for sleep purposes and one day I tried out mindful meditation,it was such a tremendous and ecstatic experience that shocked me from within and I could see lotus figures and white lights everywhere and realised I have come to a different plane of conciousness within mys elf and lost my self identity in that moment completely.the energy kept rising and rising and as it accidental and I felt the high voltage energy is too much in my new circuit or the body to bear and I had to ground most of the energies (as it caused blockages in chakras) to mother earth and now I am fine but now I am trying to be on this path of realisation but I need a  guru desperately so that I become one with my atman.”

Conclusion

The yoga Upanishads prescribe a variety of asanas, pranayamas, and muscle contractions known as bandhas to awaken Kundalini shakti.

Shaktipaat is a guru’s special blessing, such as a mantra or even a mere touch or glance, that is said to instantly awaken your Kundalini.

Even though the rishis never mentioned it, the use of Shaktipaat is widely accepted by modern reachers.
