  1. Get up earlier.

Experts recommend mediating always early in the mornings. Early sleeping and rising early may help to meditate in a proper way. Advance your alarm clock for about 20 minutes or so.

Meditation is about relaxing the mind and body; you will not get the desired results if you are in a hurry thinking that you are late to work. Additionally, you will need extra time before meditating to prepare the items that will be used in meditation.

It is also good to make sure that everything that can distract from the practice, such as mobile phones, are turned off, muted or are not in the same room.

2 Choose a Place to meditate .

It is advisable to dedicate a place in your home for meditation. It will be your little spot of light. You can have a special room, or you can also meditate in your own bedroom or in the garden.

Just make sure that the chosen location is quite, clean and tidy, because the environment has a direct effect on meditation. Have a cushion or chair to be more comfortable. Some people find that the ritual of lighting candles and incense helps them meditate, but this is optional.

3 Clean up Yourself Before Meditating.

Soon you will realize that when you meditate you come in contact with yourself, it is all about cleaning your mind and emotions. Consequently, you will feel the need to be physically clean as well. You can meditate with any type of clothing but if you wear uncomfortable you may get distracted. It is preferable to use a natural fibre fabric, such as the cotton, linen or silk. Bear in mind that you have to remain in the same position for some minutes.

6. Finally it’s time to start meditating!

Usually there are several positions to enter in the correct state. The best way to start is to sit down on the cushion classic cross-legged in lotus position or in a chair with your spine should be straight but comfortably or you can even meditate lying down on your back.

However, if you are a beginner, better take the sitting position, as most beginners fall asleep while meditating in a lying position and the lotus one is often somewhat uncomfortable when you are a newbie. No matter the position chosen, it is very important to feel comfortable because you will remain still for several minutes.

Then, completely or partially closed eyes, and focus your mind on your breathing. Breathe slowly through your nose. Free your mind of any distractions and concentrate in each inhalation and exhalation.

Gradually you will be entering in the known state of meditation. If during the state you start thinking about your day or any other worry comes to your mind, return your attention to your breathing. In this way we are exercising our mind and our conscious control over it what will be very useful to avoid negative thoughts and anxiety.

How to Start Meditation for spiritual Goals?

The idea is not to allow our senses to be lured by outward objects. . Do not allow the mind to run after the objects. If it goes astray, bring it back again and again and fix it, within the body. Keep it there steady for some time.

Practice of meditation from the very beginning is very useful as it helps the mind get well established in the object of concentration. It also enables us to get rid of all attachment towards the perishable objects of the world. It stops the natural tendency of the senses to run after the transient desires and that of the mind to go outwardly.

In scriptural language it is called the cessation of attachment. This is what is renunciation or dispassion. Real bondage lies not in the possession of object. It lies in our attachment towards them. There is no harm in keeping our wants within the minimum limits. We should possess what is most essential for us. The less we possess, the happier we are. Repeated practice of breaking the shackles of attachment to worldly objects is the entry to the state of meditation.
